I am surprised by some of these reviews. I have had wonderful care from Dr. Rutan. After suffering for a year and not getting the help I needed from Kaiser, I came to Dr. Rutan. At the first visit, he 'taped' my feet and the pain went away after one day! I came back two weeks later for a follow up and got fitted for orthotics. I had a very positive experience and recommend Dr. Rutan.
Years ago the experience I had with Dr. Rutan was very good. The service he has provided recently has unfortunately declined substantially since joining another clinic. I have given him numerous chances to make improvements, but since I have seen no attempts at improvement I am now writing this review. He has been unprepared for appointments, cancelled appointments, inexcusable delays, poor follow through on delivering what was communicated, very poor follow up after appointments... Given the previous 1 star review I felt compelled to write my own review. I, unlike the other review, was on time. Funny how that effected my experience. I can't tell you how terrific Dr. Rutan and his Staff were. He takes his time with each patient and treats you with respect and kindness. I would ask the previous reviewer which patient the Doctor should have short changed in regards to the time spent with that patient to accommodate "Mr. I Was Late." Dr. Rutan has "kept me on my feet" since he started practicing in Vancouver. He stays up on the most current and effective technology and provides fabulous personal, caring, thoughtful service. I highly recommend him for all teachers and anyone else who has trouble with their feet.
