Went to him with hip pain, he was dismissive, and didn’t want to do anything to help except tell me to “rest it”. Didn’t want to order an MRI, convinced him to order one anyway. I have a stress fracture. If you see Dr. Allen, advocate for yourself (and then go find a doctor who will actually want to help you find answers).
Dr.Allen and his team are consummate and knowledgeable in the treatment of pain. Dr. Allen takes a holistic approach to treatments and minimizes the use of opioids and other medication. The staff is always warm and welcoming. As someone who has suffered from chronic pain for over thirty years, and has had my share of inadequate pain treatment, I can fully recommend Dr. Allen and NEW York Pain Medicine.
I've been a pain control patient with several different doctors since 2001. While I've been happy enough with all of those doctors, after working with Dr. Allen for the last few months I actually feel like I'm getting something more out of my treatment.
