Doug did a fantastic job. He sold our house and helped us buy another. He is very efficient and knowledgeable in all aspects. He is also low pressure, and everything went smoothly and orderly with both selling and buying a house.
Doug was a life saver! In March 2022 we had a contract on a new home in Texas while being in Maryland caring for our granddaughter. We called Doug and he immediately listed the house at a great price. The house house sold within a week and at a great price. Doug and his staff were wonderful to work with and always very quick to respond when called. I would gladly recommend Doug Takens to anyone!
Doug was the sellers agent for the house I purchased. Not only would he not call or text back at all when problems arouse but offered to make it right and then backed out of it. I would absolutely not recommend using him at all. He never calls you when he says he will and you have to call him back over 2 weeks later. I almost backed out of the deal because he failed to notify my agent that the sellers accepted my bid by the due time. Find literally any other advisor.
Doug has helped me out on two previous home deals and I wouldn't recommend anyone else. His knowledge of West Michigan and his connection with other realtors really helps the stress of finding a house that much easier. Will definitely use Doug in the future!
