Dr. Doug Later has not only exceeded my expectations as a doctor, but as someone who truly cares about his patients. He is SO GOOD with my autistic daughter and has so much patience. On one occasion he went above and beyond for my daughter with special needs and researched as much as he could about her little-known autoimmune disorder (that she sees a specialist for) just so that he could better understand her and be able to help her. Seriously a 10/10!
My teenage son has autism, and we wanted to see someone who might understand our unique situation. We waited 2 months to be able to see Dr. Later after reading that he has an interest in autism. I'm so glad we did. He not only has an interest, but he also has a son with autism and his compassion and hope were very therapeutic for my son and I. His kindness and positivity really affected me, I cried on the way home out of gratitude! He gave us ideas to try, pages of helpful resources, and lots of hope. :)
We saw Dr Doug for our first child and he was awesome. He listened to any questions or concerns, followed up with us, and seemed to genuinely care about our child as well as our whole family unit!
This has been our favorite pediatrician. We moved up to Ogden and my wife still prefers to drive down to see Dr Later
