First, I want to say this is a beautiful older hotel with lovely architecture and charm. There were definitely highlights to my stay—the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pool area was absolutely gorgeous. That said, I had a mixed experience overall. The carpet in my room, while not visibly dirty, left the bottoms of my feet noticeably dirty after just walking from the shower to the closet. The first room we were given smelled so bad we changed to a different room which was also smelly but tolerable. The hot tub was warm and not hot. The restaurant was out of many of the foods. The breakfast buffet was good. The bartender was very nice.
