My family came here around 8:30pm to check in and we met a wonderful worker named Phil. He was so kind and funny. I am going to be a freshman in college and he gave me the best advice and i’ve never laughed so hard in my life. So glad to have met a wonderful and hilarious man like Phil.

Absolutely — I’d specifically mention the hair because that makes the cleanliness issue much more concerning. ⭐ 1/5 Extremely disappointing experience at the DoubleTree Wilmington. According to Expedia, check-in is at 3:00 PM. I arrived around 3:45 PM and was told my room still was not ready and that I would need to wait approximately 20 minutes. After waiting, I was finally given my room and was even offered my choice of floors. Unfortunately, when I entered the room, it was very clear that it had not been properly cleaned.... read more

Nice rooms and hotel infrastructure. Better than typical doubletree- the rooms seem like they were recently upgraded or the hotel is relatively new. Staff was friendly and very helpful- compliments to them. The area is not great- there is vacant strip mall next door and seemed like there were some homeless people around. I felt safe enough walking around but not ideal. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Also central location- ten to fifteen minutes to riverfront and the beach.
