Cool lobby and great location. Rooms are big and not well cleaned. No hand soap in bathroom for anyone in hotel. Was told to use the body wash in the shower. My one light was leaking and there was a bucket to catch the leak. Black mold on the ceiling and was very disturbing. I was too tired to switch rooms and was only there for 6 hours to sleep. AC wouldn’t work and was told to use the reset tips on the wall. Has potential to be great but for now it’s a 3 star rank. No soap. Black mold. AC not running for more than 2 min.

Overall a pretty nice place to stay in Utica. A nice job in restoring this old building. Would recommend avoiding if they are hosting a wedding event. The place was trashed with garbage inside/ out and the floors including the elevator were covered in drinks. For a smoke free building they allowed smoking at the entrance sonit pretty much defeats the goal when so amny are smoking at the door when you walk in. We were there for T2T and the staff was very friendly.

Room was large and very clean with nice functional amenities, bathroom was spotless and had clearly been deep cleaned very recently. Blackout curtains were some of the best I've seen on hotels recently. Walkable to the Amtrak station and the Adirondack railroad. Plenty of parking in a safe private lot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lobby is very beautiful and they've clearly put a lot of work into keeping the historic details while offering modern comfort. Very nice hotel, terrible location. First of all there's absolutely NOTHING to do in this part of Utica. Was there checking out surrounding colleges. The hotel was right next to an open parking lot and Wynn Hospital so I heard sirens constantly. My daughter and I decided to take a walk through the neighborhood and encountered one abandoned building after the next, neighborhood seems very unsafe. The hotel lobby was stunning. Checking in and out was super quick and easy. Our room was spacious. The beds and pillows were super comfy. Will definitely stay here again.
