This is a tired, old building, and it shows immediately. I was never given a “cookie” at check‑in, and I barely received a greeting. My king room is very large, which is one of the few positives. However, it has only one window, and it overlooks the mechanical roof. The refrigerator does get cool, but the creamer provided for the coffee is off. Great place to stay if you find yourself in Utica. Highly recommend it if you are planning to spend some time in central NY. We are doing college tours and wanted to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. Utica is a greatly underrated food town and well worth a stop.

Can’t say enough about our stay. What a kind staff and welcome retreat after some of the places we had stayed on our journey. The historical aspects of the building are not to be missed. Beautiful lobby and even better looking room! So many places to grab a snack or drink within a short walking distance.
