The only thing good about this stay was the free Breakfast buffet, which had eggs, potatoes, bacon, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, and more, as well as the friendly restaurant staff. At check-in, the computer declined both my credit cards, which is very stressful when you know there is no possible way it should be declined after checking the banking app. After calling in a second person and several minutes later, they discovered it was their system. It was an unpleasant visit both times on my roadtrip roundtrip unfortunately. All both occasions each room were unclean, spider webs and dirt around the doors. My second stay, I had to request another room as the original room key did not work on the top floor. The secondary room offered to me was on the first floor and not comfortable, but I had to settle on one. The toilet itself was nasty from the mold coloring and the toilet paper was half way through. Very affordable, clean, and the staff was very accommodating. When we checked in, Darlena was very very helpful!! Clean room, good breakfast buffet. Highly recommend the Double Tree in Mt Vernon.
