Terrible hotel experience, disgusting carpet in the rooms made me nauseous, noisy and rattling AC unit made sleeping at night impossible. Hotel feels like a one star hotel in a third world country. Will never visit this hotel again, free stays here would still be a hard no. DO NOT STAY here no matter how cheap the prices get.

Reseña completa en inglés I do not recommend the DoubleTree Galveston. They charged a very large amount to my card that belonged to another guest’s bill and later claimed it was a mistake. My reservation was made and paid through Expedia, so I did not owe the hotel anything. Be very careful with the card you provide and review every charge. The hotel was also extremely dirty. This hotel is short staffed, called the front desk for a blanket and was told that she was the only one working night shift and couldn’t bring it, so we had to come and get it. The pool kept running out of clean towels for everyone, it was never fully stocked. Ice machines on floors were out of order, staff mentioned to report it they have been down for a while.
