I had a bad experience for many reasons. The room was good (clean, nothing missing or broken) until we turned on the A/C, which filled the room with a strong moldy smell. The windows couldn't be cracked open either despite claims, so we agreed to switch rooms. The new room was disappointing. One of the bathroom lights wasn't working and the shower floor was dirty and had hair in a corner. There was a bad odor also, which turned out to be coming from the shower drain. My Husband, I, and our two grandsons, ages 4 & 10, were in town to celebrate the 4-year-old's birthday at Disneyland. We got in late and noticed the smell of smoke in the room and the TV not working, which triggered severe allergic reactions in my neurodivergent grandson. The desk clerk "noted" the smell and attempted to fix the TV, but could not. Since it was late, we decided to address it in the morning and slept with the balcony door open. I arrived from Florida to spend a few days with my son that is in the military in the area. Didn't have hotel arrangements until I arrived. Took a chance on a room at Doubletree. So glad I did. As a mom traveling alone I felt very safe here. My room on the 3rd floor was very nice. Staff was super nice when checking in. Would definitely stay here again.
