Hotel management would not reimburse me for a booking that I made for a room at the wrong Hilton when I was sick as a dog right before Thanksgiving despite the fact that I am a gold level hotel member. It is their right to decide whether or not to refund a stay booked through a third-party….. I Was using a discount third-party booking site for the first time. We booked a room with Mountain View, however we went to check in about 1/2 hour early and was told room was not ready and they would call us. We waited an hour and came back to be told it still was not ready so we ended up taking a different room which was more money but gave it to us for the amount we booked the other room for. Gave us 2 free appetizers to have in bar. No cookies offered as per sign , had to ask for them. Put us in the west wing which was freezing in the hallways and elevator.
