Don’t make the mistake I did— This hotel is right next to the highway and even on the fifth floor I felt like I was sleeping on the highway. All night long trucks going by loud noises Etc. made it impossible to Get a good night sleep. Don’t go in a Mountain View room That is the highway side and is incredibly loud When I mention this on checkout when Asked how was our stay? The front desk staff is very helpful and kind and I've had only positive interactions with them. The location is fantastic as far as being adjacent to uptown downtown Asheville. There are a lot of things within walking distance and it's easy walks without a lot of hills. The hotel itself has a good restaurant/ bar with a great bartender.

My boyfriend is a quadriplegic and uses a power wheelchair, so we chose the DoubleTree because we were looking forward to a comfortable, upscale stay for our anniversary. Tonight is our last night here, and overall, we’ve been pretty disappointed. First of all, for a hotel that charges over $300 a night, it’s hard to justify paying extra for parking—especially when you’re traveling in an accessible van with a disability parking permit.
