What's up with the Gratuity fee? – The experience i had Double T Diner wasn't the worst but far from the best. The biggest down all i feel they have is the Gratuity fee. A tip is a courtesy Not an obligation. The service was poor, and in my opinion the waiters and waitresses at a buffet provide a friendlier atmosphere. The food isn't afordable, it'scheap. Great food and lots of it – Good food, hot and delicious...hard to get seated on weekends...but for not accepting reservations, what would anyone expect? The dessert case is loaded with highly satisfying confections that would please any pallet...Overall pricing is in the moderate range....
Not the same – Visited Double T in the past and it certainly has changed. I like the fact that I can get breakfast at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. But it's not worth the trip. Servers are not the most pleasant, food quality has decreased and prices have increased.
Was ok till i got my charge card bill – I had an ok dinner there recently and i left and got the info from my bank that i'd been overcharged. I promptly called them and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager got on the phone he was rather irate and rude implying that i was stupid and that it was "Impossible" for that to happen. I work in retail. it isn't Impossible. I don't recommend this place because of the managers inability to act professionaly.
Good after a night of studying or drinking... – Of all the things I miss in Baltimore, I seriously miss going to the Double T after spending the night writing a paper or out drinking with friends. Sure, you get what you pay for--the food isn't top-notch stuff--but it IS open late, and the food's pretty good for the price. I say that having spent my broke college years in Baltimore. Also, the staff is friendly, and they are easy to establish rapport with.
Not your typical diner – When it comes to diner food and atmosphere, this establishment wins hands down. From the friendly staff and waiters to the quickness of service, the Double TT can't be beat. Next time we're in Baltimore, it's dinner there for me and the misses so we can sample some of those fine desserts on display at the counter as you wealk in.
Positively Average – Food is average diner food. Fine for late night dining. I have had trouble with the service. We visited at about 4 in the afternoon. Our food was fine. The server ignored our requests for coffee refills (we had not asked for repeated refills, just the one) and water refills. Then, even there were only two average people seated at our table, she added a tip to the check.
We liked It – My boyfriend and I work late so its great late at night. When we go we usually order breakfast. The portions are so large that we always have to take some home. My favorite is the waffle, his is the Strawberry Malt Milkshake.
