I recently found strange lumps on my Pomeranian, so I took her to Dr. Dotson. He and his staff were very courteous and considerate during this scary time for my pet and I. The procedure went well, as Dr. Dotson informed directly after its completion. All and all a great experience and a healthy happy dog. Couldn t ask for more
Bad tempered doc!!! Do not take your pets to this man ... he is not nice to animals. How do you think he treats them when you are not standing right there?? He also misdiagnosed, which ended up killing my dog. I honestly don t think he even likes animals.
Unprofessional, overpriced, scared my dog to death, and would not write a prescription for my heartworm meds to online reseller...However, if I wanted to purchase same product from him, no issues. Dog was in for her yearly checkup two months ago and he said she needed a new checkup for prescription, but if we bought from him there was no new checkup required. Never had this issue before. He got over on me the first time with the three hundred dollar annual exam and ear infection, not again.
Our experience with Dr. Dotson and staff at the Animal Clinic was quite different than the couple of negative reviews here. We have two friends that also use this Vet. The office is always clean and doesnt smell like a Vets office. The staff and Dr. are always friendly and the service high quality. We use the boarding service occasionally and think our pet actually has a fun time! If youre looking for a vet/animal hospital in the Wichita area you should check out this one
We rushed our cat to this office because it was close to our home. Dr Dotson has a horrible bedside manner, completely misdiagnosed our cat, sold us some bogus product, overcharged us for an xray 140! that had a full human arm and half of a cat in it---we Thank God we took our cat for a second opinion the next morning, it saved his life since he needed antibiotics. Our total was over \$200 for absolutely nothing. He takes advantage of people who are in emotional situations. I am going to write a terrible review on every site... read more
Don't Use This Vet!! When I read the previous review, I could completely relate. Almost the exact thing happened to us. We rushed our cat to the Animal Clinic because it was close to our home. When we called, the front desk clerk was very friendly. When I arrived and met the doctor, I immediately felt his cold bedside manner. My cat had a terrible cough, Dr Dotson felt around on our cat for about 30 seconds and said he would be back with an estimate. DO NOT USE THIS VET! He will try to gouge you for as much \$\$ as possible. The mysterious lump he felt in my dogs intestine required am x-ray right away for 119\$. Surprise surprise the x-ray revealed nothing. Add more unnecessary test and my bill was 450\$. Then he required a huge amount of required medicines. He is dishonest and terrible bedside manner. Over priced and a gouger...do not wast your money or put your pet in his greedy hands!

We took our three young dogs to this clinic for two years before wed finally had enough. While the outside staff is very sweet and friendly, the vet himself is one of the most unfriendly people I have ever met. He has no social skills and has never been sympathetic when it came to one of our dogs having some medical problems. He seemed more concerned on telling us how we could spend all kinds of money than on how we could help our dog. He does try very hard to get owners to buy his medical products or his overpriced dog food... read more
