Start respecting service men and women!!!
Called to order a edger several days in advance to put our pet fence in. Borrowed a trailer to haul it, get to the store, and they had rented it out to someone else. It was just no big deal to them. Said maybe we could come back in the afternoon and get it. As a local business owner myself I’m telling you to stay clear of the store in Sun Prairie.
5/19/2020 Went in to get a few bolts & wing nuts. 1st, face masks not worn by MANY of the Staff & Customers. While an employee (no 😷 on) was helping me (me- 😷 on) 2 men came up to ask for help(no 😷), sales person stopped helping me and started helping them rather than saying he would be with them in a minute, just rude, also, NO ONE practicing social distancing! Friendly family owned business that takes great care of their customers. They were the only store in Madison I was able to find ice/snow melt following our recent ice & snow storms. They also have a TOP NOTCH outdoor & sporting goods section with all you could need for hunting, fishing and camping!!
Worthless website. No search engine to look for products. I am suppose to BUY local, but if your website is useless I might as well buy at a real Hardware store in Madison!!

I have been coming to this hardware store for 20 years, since I was a kid and would bike there and pester them for advice on how to fix things. They have everything, including the small obscure screws and parts no other store stocks. The staff is knowledgeable and can advise you on most or all projects. They can do some small repairs in store. The prices are not outrageous, many items are actually cheaper than the big box stores. This is what you want a locally owned hardware store to be.
