Soul Food in New Jersey gets no better than Dootsie’s Kitchen in Monroe, and that is no exaggeration. The place even rivals most soul food restaurants that I have experienced down south. I ordered catering from here for a corporate event and all the food was delicious! I highly recommend the fried chicken and sweet potato cornbread which was amazing! I will definitely be back!
Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Not a bad item on this menu. Jeff Is an outstanding individual and DOOTSIE’S Is a superior establishment with AUTHENTIC fare. The food can and WILL speak for itself! No need for a prolonged sales pitch. If you wonder what the real BBQ and soul looks and taste like, DOOTSIE’S will leave you assured and with no doubt! Absolutely fantastic food!

I am a french tourist, and I wanted to experience real good soul food before flying back home. This place fulfilled my every dream. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, made with real passion and love for the art of cooking. The ribs were firm yet juicy, and perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese : by far the best I had in the united states. Everything is made to order, and seasoned to perfection. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal.
