We already cashed the check. Get lost. – Do not sign for the installation until a real carpenter has inspected it. Door Master's "professional" installers were terrible. Put a hole in our sheetrock, the wood joints are not square or flush, the finish is uneven and the inside trim is separated from the wall by 3/4 of an inch. Charles will not return our calls or have the installer return and the door was purchased 11 days ago. For a $2,500.00 door you expect better. DOOR MASTERS' DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY.
Stay Away – I bought two doors from them. Both solid mahogany. My main door has a glass window. Recently the Glass window was separating from the door to where you could pull it out. They claim this is not under the warranty as it is a trim issue. After reading their warranty, and the list of items not covered nowhere does it state that trim is not covered. Do not use this company as they will not back their product. There are many others to choose from.
Great Door Poor Installation – Great looking doors, but the outside frame is poorly installed. Cut board ends were not appropriately stained. Nail heads were not countersunk and wood seams were not puttied . It seems Charles uses outside installers, and will not check on their shoddy work. He relies on some sort of completion paper work that you sign as homeowner when the installers finish. You literally have to climb a ladder to discover what they have poorly done.
All talk from the owner and in the end the results are terrible – Paid for a service fee to measure my door by the company in turn if I purchased their door I would be refunded/credited (told to me by Charles) that fee toward the purchase of the door. After I purchased their door this company will not refund my measurement fee.
