Best Baby Store in Houston – As the owner of Doodles, I feel the previous reviews were written to make me out to be some terrible person. I am a very honest person and would never do the things the previous writers have accused me of doing. Let's begin with Alicia. Everything she ordered came in the exact time I quoted her. I said her bedding would take 4-6 wk, it came in 5. I told her the glider would take 8-10 wk, it came in 6, well before the quoted time. The parts that were missing were screws. Terrible customer service. Find another specialty boutique! – When purchasing custom items from Doodles, do not expect to receive your items within the estimate given. My order took three times as long as originally quoted! And when speaking with the owner of the store I mentioned how I had to continue to call to check on my order, it was very difficult to get someone to call me back and this was a very frustrating process. She never once apologized or took any responsibility and was quite rude.

Terrible Customer Service For the Price Point – Let's face it, Doodles is not the cheapest baby store around. So for the price point of their products, good customer service is expected. I recently purchased custom bedding, a glider and receiving blankets totaling $2200. Getting an appointment to order the custom items was easy. The harder part was getting the sales staff to provide me with details about my order. First, if they tell you your order will arrive in 4-6 weeks, go with 6-8 weeks to be safe. I think Doodles is the best baby store in Houston. They might be a little tough when it comes to returns, but that is what it takes to stay in business when you are a boutique. I laugh when I hear some of the previous complaints. Seriously, would you want to buy something that another child has been playing with and drooling all over, that would be disgusting!! THE WORST EVER SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICES – I went to Doodles and purchased a $465.00 diaper bag for a dear friend. I returned home less than one hour later only to receive a 15% coupon in the mail from their establishment. I called them immediately and asked them to honor the coupon. The rudest people ever! – The sales staff had always been very rude to me when I shopped there and I am not sure why I ever went back. Once I took my neice in there when she was 6 months old, she was teething a little drooly, her drool landed on some merchandise on the floor and they insisted that we had to puchase it(the store has stuff everywhere is not child/baby friendly at all). We put down the gifts we had selected and never went back. We tell everyone we know to never go there.

Helpful staff, adorable things but where is the website? – I recently learned that I am pregnant and have started browsing for registry places. I have been to Doodles twice, once with a girlfriend and once with my husband, and have been treated kindly both times even though I am not yet obviously pregnant and could have just been window shopping. Zero on Customer service – I have spent my last cent at Doodles! Over the past several years, I have been a loyal customer in this store but that all ended today. My daughter, who is pregnant with my first grandchild, and I went in to Doodles to purchase bedroom furniture and a very expensive custom bedding set. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE – i'll readily admit they have a wonderful selection, with very cute clothes and nursery items. many of the sales staff are great. HOWEVER, some kind of store manager was so awful and rude that i will not go back (that is, after i use the store credit issued to me b/c i returned something after 7 days, which i did not realize was the policy). when i suggested (nicely, i might add) to her that maybe it could be communicated a little better, not changed, she argued with me and did not even try to be nice. 7 da... read more
