I wouldn’t trust this guy—he’s not genuine. First, he quoted me around $90, and I was excited because I could afford to pay when I was on the phone with him. Later, he called back, saying he made a mistake and the actual cost was about $450. When I decided to take my snow blower back, he suddenly demanded $120 for diagnostics. His pricing is inconsistent, and I’m not even sure he was being honest. I have my blower now and am researching the best repair shops.
Actually no star! They had my snowblower since 11/1/24. Two months later I called asking the status on Jan. 2, 2025. It looks like that is the date they finally did diagnostic. They gave me a $476 estimate and still hadn't worked on it. I picked up my snowblower with nothing done for 2 months. I went to another repair shop that took only 3 days and charged $50. I recently decided to give Don's Small Engine Service a shot after noticing some negative reviews but hearing about some recent changes. My experience ended up being quite positive, largely thanks to Amanda, who was wonderful over the phone. She informed me upfront that they were eight weeks behind in their schedule, which I appreciated because it set realistic expectations. Huge disappointment! Despite the bad reviews I read, I made the decision to support our local and small businesses by bringing my snowblower in. Unfortunately, it was a big mistake. My experience was far from satisfactory. I brought my snowblower to Don's Small Engine Service, Inc. to find out it just sat for over 2 weeks. Definitely doing more than they can handle.
