After some initial hickups and poor communication with confusing and incorrect quotes, the new Service Manager Emma stepped in and provided excellent customer service and appropriate solutions for the issues that were identified. Certainly will give Hyundai Doncaster another opportunity to service my car when it is due again.
Asked for a quote to replace the battery for a 2017 Hyundai i30 petrol. Initially I was quoted about $227 for just the battery (pick up) and about $310 including mounting it in the car, which is aligned with other service stations. A week later I booked a regular annual service and asked again what the incremental cost for replacement of the battery was, as the car was already in the bay anyhow and it literally is a 5 minute job. I bought a brand new car from Hyundai Nunawading just a month ago and paid an extra $2000 for ceramic coating. The coating was perfect. I took it to Doncaster Hyundai for a routine 1-month check-up and their complimentary wash — and that’s when the problems started. My car came back with swirl marks and scratches all over it. The ceramic coating was visibly damaged. Doncaster immediately blamed Nunawading for not doing the ceramic coating properly — which is strange, considering the car was spotless before their wash.
