Asked for a quote to replace the battery for a 2017 Hyundai i30 petrol. Initially I was quoted about $227 for just the battery (pick up) and about $310 including mounting it in the car, which is aligned with other service stations. A week later I booked a regular annual service and asked again what the incremental cost for replacement of the battery was, as the car was already in the bay anyhow and it literally is a 5 minute job. I bought a brand new car from Hyundai Nunawading just a month ago and paid an extra $2000 for ceramic coating. The coating was perfect. I took it to Doncaster Hyundai for a routine 1-month check-up and their complimentary wash — and that’s when the problems started. My car came back with swirl marks and scratches all over it. Absolutely the worst dealership and service experience I’ve ever had. I’m relieved to have finally gotten rid of my van and to never have to deal with Doncaster Hyundai again. From day one, the service was disappointing. They promised an Uber ride home (up to 6km or whatever the policy is), but because I lived slightly beyond the limit, I offered to just take the ride part of the way and walk the rest.
