Today I needed an emergency referral for a retinal tear. The Doncaster Eye Centre fit me in on the same day, all the desk staff were friendly and efficient and explained the process and the waiting time carefully as I was flustered and nervous. Their warm approach was very helpful. The assistant did all my pre tests with care and explained clearly what would happen. The surgeon Dr Thomas Edwards was also friendly, patient and explained everything he was doing. He was able to perform a laser repair to my retina on the spot!!!... read more

Terrible receptionist. They are so IMPOLITE and DO NOT have any PATIENCE to listen what you say. RIDICULOUS!

An hour and a half into waiting for an appointment my dad was told to allow at least 2 hours wait time for his appointment, there were still 4 people ahead of him at that stage. That is at around 4 hours of wait time all up. He left and will find another dr who doesn’t expect their patients to spend half their day in a waiting room. Avoid at all costs.

After arriving 10 min early for my appointment I was pleased to be called to have my eyes checked and the drops put in as readiness for the retinal specialist. But then after 2hrs of waiting I went up to ask when I'd be seeing the doctor only to be told that there were still 4 patients ahead of me and that unfortunately the doctor came in late and was running behind.
