Very careful listener, asked pertinent questions regarding my medical issues. Made practical suggestions to my treatment that my previous health provider did not. I highly recommend!
My mother has a neurological issue and has been having increased problems, fell because of it. The 'helpful' office staff said they could get her in 3 months from now. There is no way to see anyone else because he has no NP. Staff not very compassionate. After begging, they spoke to him and offered an appointment in 3 weeks. Also mismanaged her meds.
Dr. Smith is very thorough, Patient and understanding. Wish I would have found him sooner. My daughter & husband also now use & also have nothing but great things to say about him & his team. Thank you!

I hardly talked to him at all. He came in after the nurse and said it looks like she got all the information and I have copd diabetes and nerve damage. I can't sleep at night because I am in so much pain. And all he said was I don't like to give pain pills because of all the paper work. I been on pain pills since 2000. And he said they were not helping so he cut them in half. And said see you in December
The office staff is the worst. They are extremely rude and condescending. I don’t think they realize that we are there for mental health care. They get smart with you if you ask to have the Dr. or nurse Jim. I have been going to this “clinic” for years, and not once has the office staff been kind or respectful. They also like to change their procedures every day. Do not go here!! Nurse Jim is wonderful, and I’m saddened that his office staff has no common sense or empathy for the patients.
He did procedure on my shoulder and grafted a bone too tight to the joint which caused all kinds of arthritis issues. I’ve been in pain for over two years and will have a reverse shoulder replacement because of Dr Galakatos failed surgery. Dr Galakatos cost me almost $10,000 and I’ve waited to have my shoulder replacement surgery done because I would be eligible for Medicare if I waited and save me over $8000 in additional cost. Dr Galakatos is not as good as everybody thinks he is.
I felt like I was an inconvenience and he has some place better to be. When I asked questions he rolled his eyes. He couldn't follow the conversation. He would talk about random things that didn't apply to my situation.
He has helped me numerous times for years. Plus Dawn is awesome also.
