Part 2: They are now sending me docs saying that they are collecting 1,437.79. After emailing me saying they’d only go after my insurance for 7 months. Here we are 2 months after that and this Dr Reed keeps up with these scare tactics. If he dares send this to collection after giving me in writing confirmation he’d only bill my insurance. I’m running into the same crap. I was taking advantage of while in pain I was in and even called my primary insurance about signing his document for payment. And was told I’d be covered by the no surprise act. BS! It’s been six months now and my Primary insurance (BCBS) will not cover what he’s billing and so they’re left to come after me for close to $4000. Not too happy that Dr. Fairbanks didn’t give any other choice, but to select Dr Reed. Now I’m debating on getting a lawyer.

He did my anterior for my surgery. He was 2 hours late, and said he was stuck in traffic. They have no website. I was told he was the only Doctor My Doctor uses. He did a good job but I felt trapped. why doesn't he have a website? WHY can I pay my bill online? So maybe I'm complaining about how the office is run. We didn't even see a bill for over 6 months.
I will give 3 stars because I was not unhappy with the surgery itself. My back surgeon used Dr. Reed for the anterior approach to the spine. I was informed that Dr. Reed was out of network and the whole invoice may not be covered. I have top of the line insurance with great coverage. When they sent me the initial bill prior to surgery to make me "aware" of what I might pay I flipped out (I cannot find the invoice right now, but I think it was around $75,000).
