I called this office as a prospective new patient. The receptionist was not helpful at all and made an effort to not answer my questions clearly about how to establish care with a provider. Eventually I got the answer I needed, in a very roundabout fashion. He said that they need a referral from an eye doctor and not a primary care provider. I had never heard of this in a medical practice before, even ophthalmology. I hope this information I received is correct.
