IS this store OPEN? Is this store still open? I drove over an hour to the store in Houston (where I shopped for my children) only to find it is gone. Interested in finding out which cities still have Chocolate Soup.
Chocolate Soup is under new management. Chocolate Soup has a new manager. All of the rude people are gone. I just went in there and the manager helped me with sizing and finding things to match. She was so helpful and nice. There definelty a different vibe there now! The store is laid out better now and all of the employees are happy, friendly, and seemed glad to be there. So glad they finally got a new manager.
Soup sucks,Head on down to Animal Crackers in Plano If the sales people are so rude at Chocolate Soup head on up to Plano and visit Animal Crackers at Park and Preston. The inventory is a bit more manageable to peruse, yet they still have all of the same cute stuff. The manager there is the sweetest lady, always plays and coos over my toddler, and is super helpful. Lena I too encountered that horrible old woman that works there and was disgusted with her attitude when I inquired about sizing as I was buying for my grandchildren. She was very short and was of no assistance. She snapped at me when I asked her about the sale price of an item and rolled her eyes at me. I have shopped at the Houston store and didn't have any problems. I was willing to spend money and found items that were quite nice but I was treated so rudely that I left and went to Neiman Marcus.
A Ruined Special Day! I went shopping today with my mother and my daughter for her holy communion dress. This is a very special day in the Catholic religion. We were greeted as soon as we walked in with a hello & told about the specials. My daughter tried on 5 dresses & picked one she really liked. It was very nice except we noticed one side of the material for the bow in the back of the dress was about 6 inches longer. Love It I've been there several times in the last year (07-08). Although they stock pricey clothes, they always have a sale, and usually it is 60 to 85% off! I have only been waited on by nice and helpful ladies and have not encountered a mildew smell or an angry staff.
IT IS WONDERFUL!!! I Love it!!! My mother actually dressed me as a little girl from there and now I dress my little girl from there. Maybe we will make THREE generations one day.
Why work in a children's store if you hate kids? I will agree with many of the other people that have posted that the Chocolate Soup has a lot of great clothes, but is it worth going? I have left that store twice asking why did I go in there. The last time I went in, the wicked lady that works there was berating a little girl for playing with the many toys that were on display at child's level. No Dallas, TX hospitality at this Store!!! I can see from the reviews that others have encountered the same awful woman that works here as I did yesterday! I walked in and she announced the current sales in the store very matter of fact. I said thank you and went on to browse. Since all of the price tags are already marked down I asked her if the prices on the ticket reflected the current sale prices. BIG MISTAKE!
