Dr Gerhardt seems to have done a good job technically with my colonoscopy. But he was too busy to learn my history before the procedure or listen to questions and concerns afterwards. His advice did not match my issues or my medical history. I could have found the same advice on a box of Wheaties.I would not use him again.
Dr. Gerhardt ordered lab tests and a colonoscopy. Colonoscopy showed areas of concern. A biopsy was performed which resulted in negative results. I am left with more questions than answers. He recommended another colonoscopy in 5 years and that's it. In the meantime, I continue to have gastrointestinal issues that are unresolved and I have no understanding of what is causing my symptoms and characteristic changes in my colon. I love Dr Gerhardt and Elizabeth! The staff at the Endoscopy Center is always wonderful as well. I have a chronic condition so I am a regular, but they still go over everything and always make sure I am very comfortable!!!
I put off a colonoscopy for 9 months because 1) I don't even like to think about it. 2) I was afraid he might find something troubling, 3) I had trouble with MY scheduling. The whole team, from the receptionist to the prep nurse to the nurse anesthetist and OR nurse, were so kind, friendly and reassuring! Dr Gerhardt was professional and personable. I'm glad I got it over. Thanks to an amazing team!!
He answered questions very thoroughly and remembered to check on all past issues.

Excellent in every way from the registrar to the discharge, nurse it was all superior in every way. Of course Dr Gerhardt was super, and maintained professional bedside mannerism. I have a nurse friend who recommend him - she worked with him a few years back and she stared directly into my eyes and said “I trust him with my life!”
