A lIfe Saver My heatpump stopped working on a Sunday in July and the Don Hoffacker's AC & Htg sent a technician out very quickly. He was a real professional and got the unit running. SInce it is so old we plan to have them replace it. Looking forward to more great service from this local company.
Professional and Reliable I've had Hoffacker's come out to service my air conditioner several times. I requested the tech call 30 minutes before arrival. Each time they honored that request so I didn't have to wait around at home. For the service calls I placed the tech knew exactly where to start looking to diagnose the problem and fixed it promptly. I've also had them occasionally inspect the furnace and air conditioner before seasonal use. I have been please with their work. I highly recommend.
Do not use unless you are ready to wait forever! I have used this Don Hoffacker for several years and have had no problem. A few weeks ago my air went out and upon calling them, they advised me we needed a new outside and inside attic unit, even though we had replaced the outside unit with them a few years back. They charged the unit and charged $400 and three weeks later it died again. Two days later for the service tech to come out, yes, we did need a new attic unit but could not get to it for 6 days! Hoffacker Air Cond & Htg Inc is top notch I have been using the services of Don Hoffacker for the past 30 years. I have always found them to be wonderful to deal with from the office through the service professionals. They are knolwedgable and willing to take the time to answer any questions. I have depended heavily on their advice and feel that they have always been honest and have the needs of the customer in mind. I can't imagine using any other service.
OVERCHARGED Don Hoffacker's overcharged me by 18%, admitted to it and refused to credit the difference. In addition, they charged $300 for 20 minutes of labor. I do not recommend this company and would suggest anyone considering them contact the Better Business Bureau of Metro DC and the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection before hiring them.
Dependable and reliable Don Hoffacker's put in a AprilAire Humidifier for my heat pump furnace and did a fine job. They also come out once a year to service my compressor/heat pump.
