History Established in 1970. From humble beginnings in the gulf city of Merida, Yucatan, Augusto "Cuco" Salazar Sr. departed from Mexico to the United States with nothing more than a suitcase, a passport and $100. For years, he worked two jobs saving every penny with aspirations to open his own business. The opportunity came and in 1969, he had saved enough to buy a small beer lounge. One of Simi's older Mexican Restaurant. Service is always great. Their food is outstanding and be sure to grab a Cadillac Margarita, they are the best!
Watchout when you go to Don Cuco. Theirs an employee that works in the lounge that loves to rip people off. She hands you a piece of paper & tells you thats what you owe. She always adds more money that what you owe, be sure to check it. Don't get ripped off like me.

Don Cuco's (translation-yummy yummy!!!) My husband and I just moved to Simi recently and we were on the prowl for a new local Mexican Restaurant. We discovered Don Cuco's and fell in love. They have excellent food, even better margaritas, and OUTSTANDING service!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who hasn't been there yet, definitely has to go and experience the Mexican Fiesta in your belly!
Doesn't get better than this! We make our way to Don Cuco's at least a couple times a month. This is the best mexican restaurant in southern california, I truly believe it. Their food is very well priced and you get great portions. Their margaritas are the best around and their service is always top notch.
Don Cuco This is one of the best Mexican resturants we have ever been to. When ever we are home on vacation this is a must go to place. The salsa and freshly made tortilla chips are to die for. I highly recommed the enchlidas. The staff is always friendly.
the BEST Mexican Food in Simi Valley This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant ever! There salsa is awesome - spicy but not so hot it's not enjoyable. They have great, super fast service too. We eat here at least once a week.
