Renters beware! I’m a transgender woman that rented one of his properties several years ago and he started making advances towards me. Once I rejected him, he started nitpicking me, finding excess fees, and eventually kicked me out. What kind of man is this?
We have had business dealings with Mr Brotherton for 3 years now. He has been honest, professional as well as direct and upfront with everything. He has helped us so much when others would not. We will never forget how much he has helped us!
I have rented from Don for a little over a year. Not many landlords will rent to you without doing a credit check but he does. He took a chance on me & I appreciated that by being a good tenant. Yes, you do have to fill out a maintenance request when things go wrong but they fix things promptly. I always tell people who are looking to rent to go to his website or stop in.
I would not recommended this as a landlord. A hurricane hit the town and my husband drove 6 hours for storm work, was hired by his tenants to take massive trees off of their homes, helped them immediately and worked in the rain for hours to get them taken care of, all to say, this man “the landlord” refuses to pay them for their hard work. He drove all the way to Valdosta and worked endlessly helping his tenants and did not receive a dime for his entire trip. Very good service at Don Brotherton Properties, I have lived in his rental for over 1 1/2 years, whenever there has been a maintenance issue, he has dispatched them, even though I had to put it in writing. A/C problem once, he has someone out the same day. I've read the other reviews, I just have not had the same problem getting someone out! Great service and great people!
