13 years ago, I lost an old filling, and was in a great deal of pain-- it was so bad, it caused lymph nodes in my arm on the same side to swell. I couldn't get into my regular dentist, as they were closed that day. Dr. Baker was open, and worked me in. He said it looked like a borderline root canal situation, but he was willing to try replacing the filling if that was what I really wanted, which I did. I wanted to come back with another review, because 13 years later, the filling is fine. I no longer live locally, and do not... read more

I DO NOT recommend anyone using Don Baker for a dentist, especially not for children! I have been traumatized after having two teeth extracted while I was pregnant. I felt everything. I mean the entire thing! My body radiated in sharp tortuous pain. I couldn’t stop whimpering and my body was physically coming out of my seat. All of this while being 7-8 months pregnant. It’s been months but I’ve recently started having flashbacks that are so real they leave me gagging. PLEASE DO NOT go to D.Baker

Dr Don Baker is the best dentist ever. My mom started going to him when he was in martinsville in and me and my brother. We followed him to Bloomington. I am now 46 he also as done both my girls teeth my oldest is 25 and youngest 9. I know live in Florida. I fly in from Florida just for Dr Don. They don’t make dentist like dr Don anymore or there would be no reason to fly just for him.

Dr. Baker tells it like it is. He doesnt sugar coat. My first time with him, I got the you dont brush well enough speech. Hes just very blunt. He saved a tooth that I thought couldnt be saved. He did a very good job. After the initial shock of being called out on my lack of flossing..we actually laughed. He is a very sweet man. He just does things a little differently. So if you want to be babied and told how great you are..dont go to him. Hes an awesome dentist though!

Dr. Baker is a dentist but he rather give you a lecture about your teeth, and talk down to you like you are below him. Sorry not everyone grew up with money, and if you have low self esteem now then do not go to him because he makes you feel worthless!!!!! I would never recommend him to anyone he is just awful, and from my experience he more less called me a liar, when you feel pain then he should not tell you no you dont and continue to do the work, I was in tears, horrible man.

Dr. Don Baker in Bloomington, IN is a wonderful dentist. I lost a filling and needed it fixed ASAP. To make matters worse, I was losing my insurance in 2 days! I called the office and they said they could work me in. The staff was courteous and professional even though they had to stay late because of me. Nobody likes to have problems with their teeth; but it certainly puts you at ease to go into a dentists office and immediately sense that the entire staff truly love their jobs! They were great

I need a front tooth feeling He did a terrible job. He jumped from patient to patient and when he came back to me he told me that it was done. When I looked at my new tooth feeling, there were chunks all over the tooth, it was rough, and the dental floss couldn't get in between my teeth. It wasn't polished. I showed it to his wife (She works with him), and she tried to convince me that it looked nice. I insisted for him to finish fixing my tooth. He wasn't very happy, but he did it.
