The management of this apartment building has been consistently disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. I am a 80 year old senior who moved into a Dominium property last year,(Willow Place 55+ Apartments in McDonough, Georgia.) My apartment is truly beautiful and I love it. Maintenance is good, however the community manager Dorothy Turner is the worst, and the meanest person I have ever met. She is working on her 3rd assistant manager in less than a year. If zero was an option that would have been the best option. A one star is way to high. Regional getting kick backs from vendors is Robbed this company. RatCoons leadership. If you are a senior citizen over the age of 62, DO NOT lease from Hickory Manor Apartments in Desoto Texas. The tenants along with maintenance will harass you. The maintenance man at these apartments try to intimidate you/slander you. Management will enter your apartment without a prior notice. Being at a certain age 62+ you can't always just up and move. This can be hard on an elderly health.
As a previous property manager for many years at Dominium I have to say how sad I am that they would raise the rents so high at the Cavanagh. Those poor people are senior's with fixed incomes. They have no way to generate more income to meet such a harsh raise in rent. This is pure greed and Dominium should be ashamed!

Seriously, renting from Satan would be better. The worst property management company and Community Manager (Shannon Gaines) I've encountered; avoid renting from them at all cost. After 7 years and paying 60K plus in rent the Community Manager, Shannon Gaines, decided to not renew my lease. She made an incredibly bad decision and as far as I'm concerned she should be fired. I have been living at Regency Way in Gulfport, MS and have had two leasing managers. The one thats we have now rarely gets anything fixed. My family just came back from vacation to find "certain" areas with mold on it. She told us that it was OUR negligence for not leaving the AC on. After we told her we left a window open to let air circulate and if that was the case then the WHOLE apartment would've had mold.
