I was really excited to try this African braiding shop since it was recommended, and I liked that they accepted walk-ins so I could go after work. However, my experience was disappointing. I went on August 6th, I paid for a wash and dry, but instead of using a proper sink, it felt like hot water was being poured on my head from elsewhere. I’ve been coming to Dominion Hair Braiding for 7 years, and it’s the only place I trust with my hair and my daughter’s. Location: The shop is easy to get to and always clean and welcoming. I’ve never had issues with parking or getting in and out. It feels safe and comfortable every time I go. Work Ethic: Maria is the best. my hair is THICK, they managed to get a full head of SMALL knotless done in about 5.5 hours. Everyone was nice and accommodating, super mindful if I became uncomfortable or sleepy during the process. It’s my second time coming and I’ll be back again, it’s always a pleasure.

Worst braiding experience of my entire life - 0/10 would not recommend. Was quoted $240 for smedium waist length braids, paid $260 for small waist length braids that I didn’t ask for. Sat in excruciating pain for 9 hours when I was quoted 5 1/2. I’m not tender headed and I cried at one point. I told her, “I don’t care if it’s not tight, you’re hurting me and you need to be gentle.” She absolutely was not gentle.
