Passable NY Pizza I've heard people rave about Dominic's so took my family there the first time they came to visit from NY. It's passable, but we weren't all that impressed. It does have the NY counter pizza place ambiance, but the pizza itself is just missing something.
Dominic's NY Pizzeria This Pizza Joint is a wonderful little place overlooking the water located at Poyner Place Plaza. The employees are friendly and their pizza's are big and very delicious. A good value as well. On Friday evenings there is live music by the water and you can eat out side and enjoy the sounds. Parking can be a slight problem if the shops are busy, so be prepared to walk a little.
Decent pizza Not the best pizza I have tried in NC, but not the worst, either. It was suggested to me as comparable to NYC pizza, but I would have to disagree. It's good, but the slices just aren't as hearty as a NY slice. The garlic knots are OK, but really greasy. It's in a good location over by many other stores, though, so a quick stop in could fill you up.
Great pizza, lousy service I like the pizza a lot but the service is absolutely horrible. We've only had the food delivered but placing the order over the phone is a study in patience. It has taken up to 10 minutes to place an order and not because there are other calls coming in, etc. I usually have to repeat everything I say twice and spell my street name (a 5 letter name) a few times. Great Pizza Dominic's pizza is family owned and the pizza is fantastic! The location is pleasant during warm days because there is seating next to the fountain and music plays overhead. Some Friday nights they have live music at the end of the pond. The prices are reasonable for the large NY style pies.
