It's definitely touristy but in a good way. They have great gifts and some really cool gifts if you search. (Eg leather bracelets you can personalize for those Lucky /InStyle gals).
The female security guard has issues.... There was confusions with opening the doors and she tried tracking us down inside because it was ONE MINUTE before official opening.
The Dole Whip is just as good as at Disneyland!

Train ride could have been more informative...market has unique Hawaiian gifts!! & if u ❤ picking pearls u can get black n pink pearls at Maui Divers Pearl kiosk!!!
Have the pineapple ice cream
The Garden Tour isn't worth it. There are no pineapples to pick or see. Do the train, beautiful photo ops. And DoleWhip is a must.
Great dole whip but otherwise a tourist trap!
