Beautiful place to sit outside on a comfortable afternoon. Sweets, Gelato and sandwiches, all served with kindness and warmth. Highly recommend this little gem in Old Town Bloomingdale.
Sadly, our favorite gelato place is no longer our favorite. We still love the people working there—they’re always friendly and welcoming—but we can’t help noticing that something has changed with the gelato. A year ago it was incredibly creamy, full of flavor, and had the authentic European taste that kept us coming back. This place is an absolute gem! The owner Vito is a welcoming and helpful man and the pastry, gelato and cakes are incredible!! If you want to feel like you had a mini European vacation---come set your taste buds on Dolce V delicacies!
Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very disappointing. I ordered a tiramisu, but the portion displayed in the case appeared different from the smaller one I actually received, which was frustrating. The first tiramisu I was given was not sealed, which made me uncomfortable because it did not appear to be freshly packaged. After I complained and insisted, the employee eventually gave me a sealed one instead. I also ordered a fruit tart.
