I have never been there!! It's a bucket list dream. My maternal grandmother was born and raised there until she was approx 3 yrs old then they took train down "thru Cedar Rapids" and landed in either Rock Island or Davenport where she spent the remainder of her long life! I don't even drive nor know anyone there lol so the chances of investigating more about her or just breathing the air in sd and meeting the locals. Learn something, or a few things.
