We are the ultimate dog lovers vacation in the mountains of North Carolina. We feature luxury dog friendly cabins with hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces with spacious private fenced yards, provided dog beds, bowls, and towels. No obedience requirements, we accept all dogs regardless of temperament, breed or size. Canine Connections offers optional dog training and behavioral consults during your stay. Additional dog care services such as feeding and walks are also available.

Beautiful cabins with updated kitchen and bathroom - felt so luxurious! The cabin was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. Our family of 4 (husband wife 80 lb dog and 1yr old baby) stayed in Tree Frog for several days after Christmas. The weather was beautiful and the drive was lovely. Brevard is a beautiful town and these are just perfect cabins for those who'd like their pups along. We recently vacationed with our dog at DogWoods Retreat. Our entire experience was excellent. There are three cabins which are quiet, comfortable, and squeaky clean. The owner, Nan, provides very good and prompt communication about the accommodations and things to do in the area. The fence surrounding each of the cabins is secure and we were comfortable with our dog exploring the property. We had a great stay at Dogwoods Retreat. It was so nice feeling like we weren’t just bringing our dog along on our vacation - it was a vacation for our dog as well. :) As apartment dwellers, it was a huge luxury to be able to just open the door and let her out. My stay at DogWoods Retreat was the best vacation I have ever had! Since these cabins were built to be dog friendly, my nervous Jack Russell was able to relax and enjoy the vacation with me...something he has never been able to do before. The cabins are perfectly appointed for comfort and utility, impeccably clean, and the ambience is simply perfect. My husband and I chose DogWoods Retreat for its access to hiking and convenience of going into Brevard plus we could have our dog, Bella with us. This is the nicest place we have ever stayed that allowed us to bring our dog. We stayed in the White Squirrel cabin and it was immaculate, very nicely furnished and well stocked. We stopped at the grocery store for charcoal and matches before arriving but when we arrived we found DogWoods provided this for us.
