Faster service. 45+ minute wait for 3 hot dogs and a basket of fried veggies is ridiculous. Especially when people arrived AFTER us, got more and harder to prepare foods, AND got their orders BEFORE us.
We were there yesterday and I have to say the overall food was not good at all. We waited almost 40 minutes for 2 Texas burger baskets and 1 footlong chili dog and 1 veggie basket. When it finally came again after almost 40 minutes there was only 1 small fry with the 2 Texas Burger baskets we ordered. Also the bun for my burger was burnt on the top bun and the bottom bun was also burnt, and we would have said something but did not feel like waiting another almost 40 minutes for a order of fries and a new burger. Root beer float! Yummmmm!
I preface this with I was raised in a hot dog mecca-Chicago and spent time in NYC. Went here today for the first time for a Coney. The dog was an anemic pale pink. The onions and relish were not fresh. They were the type you get in the packets in a cafeteria. They were watery and I had to scrape off 3/4 of them. Buns were not steamed so with the watery condiments the Coney was cold. Outrageous cost to add slaw, cheese, or kraut! A $3 dog could quickly get into the $5-6 range by adding cheese and slaw.
