Sail aboard the 30’ cutter Moondance II with Captain Ro and Spinnaker, as salty a sea dog as you will ever meet. Your Private Party Cruise, with up to six people, plus sea dogs, begins at the MacMillian Pier. Your own private captain will make every effort to accommodate you and your party. Party members are welcome to try their hands at the helm under Captain Ro’s watchful eye.

The dog at the desk BIT ME. I went by this sailing company on our trip to Provincetown, MA and there was a Chinese Crested/King Charles Cavalier Mix breed off leash next to the shop shack. When I asked the worker about what breed dog this was the dog came running out towards me and jumpers toward me. When I put my hand out for the dog to smell me the dog lunged forward and bit me! It was our first time in a sail boat and we booked a private charter with Captain Ro, it was wonderful! Her knowledge of the place, her first mate and her sweet boy Spin who’s so at home in his cozy corner, best we could have asked for travelling with our dog. My little dog even got his own life jacket, it’s too cute ❤️ highly recommend!
Delightful time on a sunset sail! Captain Ro gave us a smooth sail with perfect timing and views. Crew was friendly and hospitable. Spinnaker kept us all safe and in-line :) Fair price for the location and amount of time on the boat. You will need $2 cash per person for an embarking fee. You’ll also be asked to tip the crew. Sweet little time for agile passengers.
I have chartered Dog Gone ~5 times over the last decade or so. Most of the sails have been wonderful, hence the returning multiple times. But, last fall I had a terrible experience with Captain Ro. She was rude from the moment our group of 4 arrived. First she asked us to pay the per-person dock fee in cash (I'm pretty sure this fee is to be paid by the person running a commercial sailing charter, not the paying passengers). I highly recommend sailing with Dog Gone charters. We had an amazing time with Captain Ro on her sail boat. She was a wealth of information and it was so relaxing. Her first mate was so helpful and a sweetheart.
