RecommendedI am new to the Norfolk area and figured it would take a lot of tries before I found the right veterinarian for my little dog, who is 16 years old and not in the best of health. But I got very lucky when someone recommended Dog & Cat Hospital to me. It was the first place I tried, and I'll never go anywhere else. The staff is very kind and the vet treated me like an old friend. It's a great place.
This is a wonderful practice with caring staff and doctors. My husband has gone to this practice for 50 years. We love them.
Dr. Schaefer has always been wonderful, and gone above and beyond to research and provide the best possible treatment for my dog Baylee. Dr. Halstrom and Dr. Gerloch are amazing, very experienced, and compassionate veterinarians as well! These doctors are the reason I’ve chosen to stay with dog & cat hospital after moving out of the area. They are trustworthy, understanding, caring, and everything a pet owner could ever wish for in a veterinarian!

You folks really had the system of handling pets remotely down pat. The vet was very helpful and the staff were friendly and efficient. This was my first visit and I was favorably impressed.
They were polite, honest and communicative.
We are especially fond of Jason, Janet and Joe and Cooper.. They always go out of their way to help us. Drs. Hallstrom and Gerlach have cared for our pets for at least a dozen years.
I've been bringing my cats here for at least 4 years now and I have never not had a great experience. Love the staff!
They are GREAT!! They are always on point with the care given to your pet and the considerations given to you. I will go no where else.
