I had 3 different companies try to sell me a whole new system because mine could not be repaired. Doctor Air came over and spent almost an hour investigating, ended being a thermostat wire shorted in the attic. Mice had chewed it up and was causing my transformer to blow every couple of days. They have my business forever now! If your in doubt call the "Doc"!
