Much like the hip and vibrant district it is set in, Doc's Clock attracts all types of people. Club Kids, hipsters, Spanish-speaking Latin Americans, yuppies, East Bay transplants, and some tourists hoping to find a taste of the real San Francisco. The long bar offers plenty of stools, while tables in the back let you stretch out to take in the scene. The congenial and friendly staff offer you well-mixed spirits, which set the mood for a great time.

doc's clock rocks! – mission staple turned kick back lounge with shuffleball. everything from olympia to chimay.. and ofcourse a cold anchor steam. gets a lil crowded late into the night, but overall a great place to meet up & hang out.
Happy happy happy hour! – So I walked into this bar when I moved into the Mission and I immediately felt at home. I've spent lots of nights (tonight actually) just chilling, reading my book, talking with the regulars (I am one at this point), playing shuffleboard and enjoying their happy hour, which is one of the most generous in the city. Both of the Carries are rocking bartenders, and the music on the juke ain't too bad, most of the time. Definitely my local pub nowadays, even though I moved a little further away now. Dangerous dive bar. – This place is NOT SAFE. The bartender here, "Antonio," tried to pick a fight with a friend of mine here, literally standing outside the doorway, shouting at him to come outside so he could BEAT HIM UP. The bouncer stood at the doorway and did nothing to help. The owner of the bar was even present, and did nothing other than to give the bartender a "time out." The bartender still works there. None of us felt particularly safe at this place. Avoid it.
Arrive to Excellent Assistance! – The doc's sign shines brightly in the cold november air. The large neon clock doesn't tell the time. Inside, drafty dank shuffleboard rattles listlessly down the bar. They call this drink a bumblebee, sweet with a sting. drink slowly.
Take a healthy time-out from pretension at the Mission's favorite neighborhood bar. – The Scene On foggy nights, Doc's sign stands out like a lighthouse in a storm. It's quite possibly the coolest bar sign of all time. Inside, pink neon lights and candles add to the slightly divey, laidback atmosphere. Even when it's crowded (often), Doc's feels sedate. It's the ultimate low-key joint; the perfect place for a casual drink and quiet conversation. The crowd consists of Mission hipsters and seasoned veterans of the bar scene. T... read more
One of my Fav's! – You are guaranteed to leave feeling better than when you came. And not only because of the great booze selection ..... but the bartender Liz is a babe!
Funky Local – There's something about this long, narrow, no-frills bar that just says home to me. The crazy neon sign outside is the flashiest thing in (or outside) the place--inside, it's just straight-up drinkin', with usually some good alt-country on the stereo. I like it best early in the evening, around 7 or 8 or whenever they feel like opening, before the Mission barcrawlers show up.
