Specialties Lively New Orleans-based chain offering oysters, po' boys, gumbo & other Cajun-Creole classics. History Established in 1910. In 1910, before Satchmo had ever formed his first band, the Acme Café was opened on Royal Street in the French Quarter. In 1924, a disastrous fire caused the collapse of the three-story Acme Saloon building. This is a great place. The food is spectacular every time we go. It's a little chilly in the DR so bring a sweater
My most recent was on July 22 with my family of seven. Chef Brandon went out of his way to ensure our dining experience was top notch. I've had a chance to try plenty of the starters and they're all so good! Love the Creole Queen, Friend Green Tomatoes, Seafood Quesadilla, Fried Shrimp, and Chargrilled Oysters. They also have a fabulous HH. You won't be disappointed!

Some of their appetizers are just as good as some of the fine dining places in NOLA. Very comfortable atmosphere, friendly service.
We were very pleasantly surprised at the impressive quality of the food, from raw and charbroiled oysters to fried green tomato to fish entrees and bbq shrimp and grits - all top notch! Nice happy hour specials, and ice cold beers on tap. Wanted to try the enticing desserts but we were too full from such large appetizer and entree portions! Will definitely come back soon.
