With a dark wooden exterior and a narrow, cozy inside, this Upper East Side Irish pub caters to an older, somewhat preppy crowd of locals who have grown out of the neighborhood's post-collegiate scene. After all, sometimes all you want in a bar is a good pint of beer and a friendly bartender; Doc Watson's delivers all this and more. In addition, the outdoor patio features Irish bar food, including the inevitable fish and chips.

Doc Watson was great!!! When I walked in it reminded me of the pubs in Ireland. The food was delish!!! I had the shepherds pie. Loved it. Choice of beers was good. Of course I had Guinness. I highly recommend. Also the staff were all pleasant and very helpful. We were there Saturday aug26
Anya (sp?) was a sensational waitress to our huge goofy bunch (downstairs, so she had to up a d down 50 times!): quick, and always cheery! How does she do it?!?
Authentic Irish bar on the Upper East side. Always a go to fun place for birthday party shenanigans, after work drink, and surprisingly excellent bar food.
