I found DML through an LGBTQ+ resource that recommended them as a safe and affirming insurance agency. Especially with everything going on right now, I was specifically looking for a place where I could feel safe and comfortable being myself, build a personal relationship, and talk openly about both my personal and business insurance needs. Ryan was the agent I set my insurance up through. He gave me a cheap quote and I made the switch. Turns out, that he lied on my insurance policy and said that I was a homeowner despite that I clearly told him I was a renter. The only reason my quote was so cheap, was if I bundled homeowner insurance. Since I was not doing that, I lost the huge discount and was stuck scrambling with two weeks to come up with several hundred dollars.
