Best BarBQ and Onion Rings in the South Yum Yum. Some places serve good barbeque and once in a while you can find good onion rings, but the Dixie Pig has both. Wonderful food and cheap too. Decor is not much, but the food is great. They've been there as long as I can remember and I'm a grandmother. That says more about them than I can.

Dixie Pig Barbecue is still my favorite I ate there as a child and worked there as a teen. I don't make it home as often as I might like, but one thing is certain: When in Martinsville I will have at least one meal there. God bless Gary and the crew, long live The Pig!
Beware the Busboy Ah, Dixie Pig - grease pit extroidinaire. If barbecue, hamburgers, hot dogs and greasy fries are your thing, you'll be in absolute heaven here. The seating area inside the restaurant is small and a bit shabby, but the food is very good - and it just doesn't get any cheaper around here. Dixie Pig also has 'curbside service', in which you place your order with a server who comes to your car and delivers the food to you. dixie pig barbecue greasy spoon is what this restaurant has become. they sent some loudmouth long-haired man with grey hair out to take curb orders. he shows a camera phone picture of some ugly fat girl with big breasts, she looked sorry and disgusting. turned my stomach. the curb service man stayed on a cell phone talking about where to meet someone with the snow. he is enough to drive anyone away. i won't be back to this nasty place. Dixie Pig has been around since we moved here in 1970! It was yummy then, and yummy now! Still the same staples we fell in love with back in the day...burgers, fries, hot dogs, and their menu has grown over time as well. They are one of the few restaurants I know that still do the old courtesy of curb service, and I'm talking about pre-Covid! The staff has always been a great group, no matter which decade they served! Excellent place for any meal.

I’ve been eating here since I could sit at the bar! This is my favorite place to eat in Virginia. It isn’t fancy but it’s tasty. I’ve often joked with Mr. Frith if I was on death row I’d hope he delivers because this would be my last meal. The best French fries ever!
Just ate there today! Fries were hot and delicious! BBQ awesome!! Love the hush puppies!!
