I always liked Dixie cafe... they have great employees and staff but unfortunately their manager on popular can fire an employee after he breaks both his feet at work on a workmans injury spends 4 months in a cast and in physical therapy and finally is released to work again but the minute workmans comp doesnt have to pay him anymore he is called and let go... for what getting hurt doing his job?
I was a regular customer for years however the last time I was there the food was different, very low grade, worse than Army food. It is unfortunate that one bad meal can turn a customer and those he tells away from a place for a long time.
It's good comfort food. Not a merchant setup like Cracker Barrel, but worth going into.

Food was good. Waitress was horrible. She talked to the customers around us but never checked on us, asked us if everything was alright, if we would like dessert. Then came by and dropped our ticket on the table and walked back by in a few minutes for it while asking the table in front of us if everything was alright. I won't be back.
