It is just a unique experience as far as therapies go. Ellie and her team are so supportive, loving, patient and kind. I have seen this therapy blend into other parts of my life making my senior years more hopeful with communication. I have become more self-aware and confident which helps with a lot of other life issues. I have learned to multi-task to get the time in to do the exercises. My husband and I had been concerned about our 7 year old daughter’s speech for a few years but because she does so well in school, her issues were not deemed serious enough to be addressed by the in school therapy team. My son has been coming to DSSS for speech therapy for about six months, and the progress has been amazing. He gets so excited for sessions—he literally lights up when we head this way. Sometimes if we drive past the usual parking spot, he starts saying his therapist’s name because he’s worried we’re not going in. That says it all about how much he loves it. I highly recommend Divine Speech and Swallowing Therapy. Ellie has been a godsend for us. My husband has received the best swallowing therapy ever and I have learned so much about how to continue that therapy at home for him. It’s been a most positive experience for us both.

This summer I had the pleasure of doing my observation hours under Ellie at DSSS. I witnessed firsthand the kindness, respect, and care she shows her patients.
