Management is rude, food is way overpriced & long wait times after ordering, always understaffed. Not good for large groups, several don't get their food every time we've been to a Divine Dining establishment. The manager at the Socastee River City location was filthy, looked like he was rolling around with the food in the back, covered in sweat.
Sitting at River City - Barefoot, called to let them know we were on the way and we would have 9 in our party... was told no problem, we can handle it... get here only to wait 30 minutes for a table when we were told 15-20 either inside or out, been seated now for 15 minutes and no one has come to the table... no management in sight, only see 1 waitress actually working... if you can’t staff and serve, don’t seat the guests!!! NOT acceptable!!!
Awful food, awful value and even worse drinks. I’ve been in Surfside Beach SC for 36 hours, I’ve eaten at 3 of your restaurants and I’ll never make that mistake again. Thanks for advertising your properties on your cups... this is a guidebook on how not to run restaurants.
River City Cafe, hamburgers best ever
We had dinner with family at the River City Cafe by the Soccastee Swing Bridge. The food was great but the service....incredible. Amber V was one of the best waitresses we had on the Grand Strand. She was patient with the young person with us and very friendly. She brought extra napkins without us asking and was patient when we stayed a few minutes to talk after our meal. She is a wonderful asset to your restaurant. 5 stars
