One time this past late fall it was raining and took the power from the store. The clerks were asking everyone to leave because they wanted to go home. ? Also, recently I was there 30 min before the store was to close and they locked the doors right afterward. At 1750 (10 min before closing) I wanted to try some items but was told "uh, our fitting room is now CLOSED" ??? They are always so rude and snotty w/very little regard for their customers.

my sister passed away 2 years ago and i wanted to donate her clothing to a good store for clients. The clerks were not friendly and handled the clothing like a good will store. Every item was on hangers, clean and ready to be displayed.. They offered me money for 2 pieces and i had taken in about 40 nice outfits. I walked out with everthing, I didnt want the money only a nice place that people would benefit from good clothing..After looking at their price tags on some of the junk they carried i decided this was not the place... read more

Asked about selling items....said that they do not accept certain brands, but had those brands on the racks? Lots of overpriced dirty items. Not impressed.

Rip off! I just went to sell some stuff there and for 2 pairs of expensive jeans, several nice tops and an all leather purse, they wanted to give me $15 dollars. I understand it is consignment and you can't expect much. However, as I was looking around I saw other jeans like the ones I had for about $45 a pair! No wonder they stay in business. I was very unhappy and disappointed with the store all together. Needless to say, I would rather donate my clothes to the Salvation Army. Most of what they had could be found at a thri... read more

If you look for your size at ditto, it is near to impossible, every store has diffrent sizes, so if you have tons of clothes from tons of diffrent stores, have fun looking for your size. Every single cute pair of ripped jeans is ripped all over were your underwear should be. I was excited when i heard about the store, thought it would be cheap because all the clothes are used, but it is EXPENISIVE it doesnt help yout selfesteem at all trying on a million clothes and having them all be too small. DITTO IS SOOOOO CONFUESING

I have been shopping at Ditto from the beginning, and have a great respect for them. From the owner, to the employees I love the way I feel as soon as I walk in. I just wanted to take the time to let you all know what a great job you do. Like anything " You can Please some of the people some of the time, all the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time." Don't let a few negatives out weigh the positives. Everyone I talk to loves your store. I am never for a second afraid to tell anyone ... read more

Wow...talk about going downhill fast. When they first opened they rocked. We shopped there all the time and told everyone about them. Now, they are over priced and sell items that are not used...they are broken...and don't seem to be embarrassed about it at all. Their managers aren't qualified to do anyting but ring you up at the register and their own clerks don't even know the store policies. I can't imagine they last much longer at this rate and I can't say I am sad to see them go....

I moved to Kc a few years ago and all the clothing stores in Chicago that are buy/sell/consignment are so pricey this was a great find for me! The employees are very cool and the gear I sell or buy is top notch. I usually always can find something to sell or buy from them or to them. Like I said before - Top notch go there and see for yourself. Tell them Michael sent you!

I've been shoping at Ditto from pretty much the start (over 3 years ago). I've gotten to know the employees and think they are the kindest and most helpful staff. Most of them have been there over a year or so and that must mean that it's a good place to work. Why don't the complainers try jumping through the flaming hoops of starting their own used clothing store? Until you have walked in someones shoes it's just best to stick with the "if you don't have anything nice to say....then keep quiet". There's no sense in focusing... read more
